Waterfowlers follow season dates in Regulations. Smith Island is a partnership between Snohomish County and WDFW providing waterfowl hunting opportunity. ***Parking lot CLOSED due to site maintenance until further notice (approximately mid-November, 2024).*** Tidal and river conditions can make accessing this property very difficult. A hand launch is available for small watercraft, it is unsuitable for large craft. Hunting is open field, without designated blinds. Obey posted signage, and to not enter Safety Zone or Closed Areas along the west or south edge of the hunting area. Boat in access from the river is allowed. A Discover Pass is required to park at the property. This property has a 15-shell limit.

Waterfowlers follow season dates in Regulations. Smith Island is a partnership between Snohomish County and WDFW providing waterfowl hunting opportunity. Registration is required for parking. Register to Hunt cards are located in white survey boxes below the parking sign. Place Register to Hunt card on vehicle dashboard during hunt, then complete and place in box when hunt is complete. Parking for 7 vehicles, and 1 additional ADA parking space is provided, no additional parking allowed on the road. Parking lot is not suitable for trailers. Tidal and river conditions can make accessing this property very difficult. A hand launch is available for small watercraft, it is unsuitable for large craft. Hunting is open field, without designated blinds. Obey posted signage, and to not enter Safety Zone or Closed Areas along the west or south edge of the hunting area.
