More information/comments
This opportunity is back after being unavailable for many years. The unit is available ONLY through Hunt By Reservation on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and every other Sunday. There is NO 'feel free to hunt' after 8AM option for this site. Each reservation hunter must display their reservation permit on vehicle dashboard and it is recommended a 2nd copy be on each person while hunting. It is located about 2 miles from Hwy 101 up the Skokomish Valley Road. This unit is best after significant rainfall; the cattail pond and portions of flooded fields will provide for mallards, pintails, wigeon and green-winged teal. This unit may NOT be accessible at times when the Skokomish River is beyond flood stage; road closures and extremely dangerous water level conditions should be assessed before reserving this site. 15 shell limit, 3 hunters maximum. Livestock may be present. Leave all gates as you found them and hunt only in the area outlined in the aerial photo.
